I prayed and I sought,
For what could not be bought:
A Lady with morals,
Who rested not on her laurels,
And I could add,
The prettiest face that could be had.
I set aside chasing tail,
And waited for God to lead me down the right trail,
Where my path would cross the one I could love,
And bring me peace like a little white dove.
You bring me peace, you bring me joy,
You make me feel like a giddy little boy.
My prayer has changed that our future is bright,
And that I could always hold you so very tight.
